Admit it—trying to build a startup while having small kids doesn’t leave much room for making music.
But sometimes, Elin and I turn it into a game, and in the middle of all the chaos, something magical happens. Like this—an unexpected gem, a little vocal sample of Elin’s that I’m surprisingly satisfied with.
So here’s to Chaotic Sunday Family Productions—where creativity sneaks in between snack breaks and silly dances.
6. marts, kl. 19.00: Folkehjem, Aabenraa
7. marts, kl. 19.00: Frederikshavn Kunstmuseum
8. marts, kl. 17.00: Randers Kunstmuseum
13. marts, kl.19.00: Sønderborg Slot
14. marts, kl.19.00: Kunstmuseet Brandts, Odense
15. marts, kl. 19.00: Fuglsang Kunstmuseum, Lolland
16. marts, kl. 19.00: Takkelloftet, Operaen, København
Hej, derude,
I had a great chat the other day with my Danish friend, Anna, who’s building Sleeve, this very platform, changing the way musicians connect with their biggest supporters. She asked me how I got started with music, and honestly, it all began with an E-minor chord. That single moment of discovery set off a lifelong journey—one that’s taken me through writing, playing, and producing for some of the greatest artists.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have made music for Pat Benatar (Hit Me With Your Best Shot), The Doobie Brothers (The Doctor), Paul Carrack (Don't Shed a Tear), Rita Coolidge, Donna Summer, and Lawrence Gowan, among others, and of course, for myself. Each of these collaborations has been a reminder of why I fell in love with music in the first place: the connection, the storytelling, and the magic that happens when a song resonates with someone.
In our conversation, we talked about the ever-changing landscape of the music industry and what it really means to build a sustainable career as an artist today. It’s an exciting time to be an artist, and I’m looking forward to sharing more snippets from our conversation soon.
What was the first moment you knew music was going to be part of your life? Let’s hear your stories. 🎶 #MusicStories #IndependentArtists #Sleeve
The late, great Prins Póló (Svavar Pétur Eysteinsson) sings the chorus with us in this angry funkfest.
Written for a play by Bess Wohl staged by the Reykjavík City Theater.
A really fun collaboration with one of Icelandic Hip-hop's pioneers, rapper Cell7.
