We call our releases songs, even though there are no vocals, because it's the instruments talking to each other. We are always talking together, and that's why it never gets boring. It's like a dance.
Here is a live session from the iconic Copenhagen venue Vega.

Somebody asked how we work, and it made us talk about how the innovative is often right next to something very awkward. When we're in the studio, we often take inspiration from the legendary Rick Rubin – working until everyone is truly satisfied. It’s not always easy, though. Sometimes, we end up in a creative ditch, where one of us has to give in, but we push through. Not that it's a huge drama; it’s more about going a bit further until the music feels right for all of us. 🎶
We’ve learned that creativity is a process, and sometimes, you just take turns being dissatisfied – but that’s where the magic happens. ✨

This is how it looks like in the near future for our band. From now and through 2025 our live concerts in Denmark will solely be presenting the new music and recording “Kvaedi” with our good friend and amazing artist Teitur.
Looking forward to presenting it to you all.
We are very proud of our collab album 💛
We created this space because we feel a special connection to you guys when we play live, which we miss a lot between concerts. This isn’t just another page; it’s a way to bring you into our inner circle. If you already cross borders to watch a concert, buy merch and want to keep up with what we're doing, here’s what you get when you join our All-Access membership on Sleeve:
🔥 Exclusive Access: Early tickets to shows, unreleased music, and first listens on new releases.
🎟️ Behind-the-Scenes Content: Go beyond the music and discover the stories behind it.
💬 Direct Involvement: You guys should talk and meet! Leave comments and start nerdy discussions about inspirations, instruments and other music related topics.
We’re inviting you to join us in this experiment—to help us create a space where the music is truly in focus. It’s about trying to build a connection as meaningful as the one we feel when we play live for you.
As we gear up for next year’s massive project, it’s wild to think that the journey actually started 1 ½ years ago. Back then, we had a slightly awkward meeting (as these things often are), until the doors opened—and in walked the board of the Léonie Sonning Prize. They had big news: We had been selected as the recipients for 2025. Our hands started shaking! Luckily, they had a bit of champagne on hand to calm the nerves.
We rushed outside to call our families, and ever since, we’ve been hard at work preparing for what will be the biggest year of our quartet’s career.
Here’s a taste of what’s coming:
• A huge concert with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, featuring a deeply personal piece that reflects our 23 years together as a quartet
• A folk music mini festival at Refshaleøen in the spring
• A theater production with actor Lars Mikkelsen, touring both Denmark and the US
• Collaborations with the Danish National Girls’ Choir—and so much more that we can’t even reveal it all yet!
It’s all been a whirlwind, and we’re so excited for what’s to come. We’re incredibly honored to be the first ensemble to receive the Léonie Sonning Music Prize, and we’re grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey so far. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to 2025—we can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you.
For 23 years, we’ve been making music together as a quartet, sharing our sound with listeners all over the world. Now, we’re inviting you to become part of our Outer or Inner Circle—a special space where our most dedicated supporters can get closer to our creative process and exclusive content. By joining our Sleeve inner circle, you’ll receive:

Your support means everything to us, and we can’t wait to share even more with you. Our Sleeve page here is your place to be part of the DSQ, experience more, and get closer to the music. We'd like to have you with us.
Hey there, this Saturday, IKI is playing in Vanløse at 2 PM, and I wanted to invite you to come along. It’ll be the five of us improvising together acousticly with our voices —just seeing where the music takes us.
We’ve been experimenting with our sound lately, and a little secret is, that we are working on a new album to be released late 2025. Somehow it’s ended up as this mix of Kraftwerk and Meredith Monk. I’m really excited about it. It’s called The Body, and still very secret, it will come out in Fall 2025, but for now, we’re just in the moment, creating something raw and live.
If you’re free, it would mean a lot to have you there. And by the way it will be very kid-friendly.
Best, Randi
I'm doing this koncert with my favorite person and artist Luna Ersahin at Vega next month, hope to see you there!
