Hej allesammen – og tak fordi I følger med!

Snart er det Vinterjazz Festival, og jeg håber, vi ses derude! Når man er i Outer Circle eller Inner Circle her på Sleeve, er det indimellem muligt at få fat i en billigere eller gratis koncertbillet.

Uden helt at vide, hvad det egentlig betyder, er jeg vildt glad for at være kommet med på Ekko Shortlist. Det gør mig så glad at se Julie Montauks’ og min film RINGEN ligge andre steder end på Facebook. Jeg tror, man kan gå ind og stemme på den, give den stjerner og den slags – så kan den måske senere komme med i en kortfilmskonkurrence… noget i den stil 😉

Jeg har også fået en anmeldelse i All That – hvad tænker I… er han vild med musikken? Det er, som om teksten ikke helt matcher de 5/6 stjerner, han har givet. Jeg er ikke helt sikker – men jeg må nok hellere lade være med at protestere… måske er de 5 stjerner en fejl 😄

Og så er jeg mega glad for at have merch med Ediths ord på! En mulepose med min datter Ellas smukke tryk i forskellige farver – og de fineste nøgleringe.

Without fully understanding what it actually means, I’m incredibly happy to have been included on the Ekko Shortlist. It makes me so happy to see Julie Montauks’ and my film RINGEN living somewhere other than Facebook. I believe you can go in and vote for it, give it stars and things like that – and then it might later be included in a short film competition… something along those lines 😉

I´ve also received a review in All That – what do you think… does he love the music? It feels like the text doesn’t quite match the 5/6 stars he’s given. I’m not entirely sure – but I’d better not protest… maybe the 5 stars are a mistake 😄

And finally, I’m super happy to now have some merch featuring Edith’s words! A tote bag with my daughter Ella’s beautiful print in different colours – and the sweetest keychains.

We’re introducing a new course at Copenhagen Music Academy focused on teaching songwriting with children and young people aged approximately 12–19 years.

Songwriting with Children and Young People is designed for teachers and educators who want practical tools for facilitating creative songwriting processes with groups of children and adolescents.

The course is right for you if you:

• work with children and young people aged roughly 12–19
• want concrete methods for leading collaborative songwriting processes
• are interested in creative music-making beyond performance and theory
• want a structured but flexible approach that works across age groups
• would like tools you can apply directly in your own teaching

The course is based on a proven, practice-led method developed through many years of teaching, including eight years as a travelling instructor in the KODA School Contact programme.

The format combines method introduction, observation and hands-on practice with an actual group of children or young people. Teaching focuses on process, participation and keeping the students’ own ideas at the centre of the creative work.

I hope you’re doing okay out there after a turbulent start to 2026, where the news cycle and the state of the world have taken a hole lot of attention. In times like these, I personally need to be able to immerse myself in my music and my work. Not to ignore what’s happening around us, but to take a break from it, and to stay connected to a playful, creative, optimistic, and constructive way of being.

When I zoom in on the music, I feel very optimistic about 2026 and incredibly excited. In 2025, my small one person company received a major gift from the Danish Arts Foundation in the form of one of their large annual working grants.

Beyond being a hugely uplifting recognition, it’s also a unique opportunity to dive deeper into creative work than my finances would normally allow. I’ve decided to share this process by creating a series of video stories about the projects and the music I’ll be working on. At the moment, I’m editing a video story about a concert series I did in France with a symphony orchestra back in November/December 2025.

I am also looking forward to tell the story about a collaboration in Brussels with three Belgian orchestras and a series of concerts in the great Bozar concert Hall.

Starting this Monday (2/2), the first of five videos with my trio Body Rhythm Factory will be released. The remaining four videos will be released at roughly four-week intervals throughout the winter and spring.

CMA Advanced - 5 Day Course

CMA Advanced (5 days) is for producers and songwriters who already have solid experience in music production and want to develop their skills further.

The course is right for you if you:

• have solid experience in music production
• want to work more in-depth with mix strategy, workflow and mastering
• want to improve vocal recording, vocal editing and vocal mixing
• would like strategies for generating income from your music
• want to move closer to a professional level

The course combines teaching, listening, discussion and hands-on work with your own material. We focus on practical decision-making and methods that can be applied directly in your own projects.

Teaching takes place in a professional studio environment at MillFactory.
