Inside Sleeve - Sound kickoff
This week, we kicked off the incubator program at Sound in the best way possible—sitting in a circle in the grass outside the conservatory, practicing our pitch while naked people jumped in the water nearby. There we were, surrounded by creativity and nature, formulating our ideas and hearing about ten other rad projects that are set to change how music is experienced. It was a great first week at Sound, full of anticipation and inspiration.

Tuesday Trends
Speaking of sitting in the grass, we’re cooking up some big plans for future events—think intimate gatherings of great musicians and music lovers, maybe even on a rooftop with a killer view. This Friday, we’re dipping our toes in the water with a private concert at Klub’s seasonal opening featuring one of our favorite artists, Simon Muschinsky. You’ll hear more about him in Random Reflections, but trust us—he’s as awesome as the hype suggests!
After sinking into this Harvard Business Review article about thriving communities in tech, it hit me: these events aren’t just about the music. They’re about making Sleeve a home where artists, listeners, and partners come together. It’s about building a community where everyone belongs.
Random Reflections
Sometimes, the best collaborations happen in the most unexpected places. Take Simon Muschinsky, for example. He met his musical partner on MySpace in 2008—two people from totally different worlds, brought together by the magic of the music. They released an EP, started working on an album, and then life happened. Fast forward 11 years, and they finally dropped that album this year. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Gaffa gave it full stars, calling it “captivating music that feeds our need for something human in a time ruled by algorithms.”
Their story is a reminder of the beauty letting things evolve organically. It also makes me think about what the internet once promised—to connect two strangers with little in common, except just enough to create something amazing together.
Here’s to embracing the slow burn, the creative process, and all the unexpected moments that make it worthwhile. Check out this video to see their incredible partnership in action, or dive into their new album on Spotify.
Have you ever had an unexpectedly wonderful experience that changed your perspective? We’d love to hear your stories!
Stay tuned,
Anna
