Creating Your Artist Account on Sleeve
Creating Your Artist Account on Sleeve
Your artist account is the foundation of your site, mailing list, and fan hub on Sleeve. Here’s how to set it up.
Step 1: Sign Up
Start by creating your account:
This login is your personal access to Sleeve—where you manage settings, notifications, and any artist profiles you’re connected to.
Step 2: Share Your Artist or Band Details
Next, set up your artist profile:
-
Choose Your Category
Solo artist or band/group. You’ll tell your story in your bio.
-
Phone Confirmation
Add your phone number for verification. We won’t use it for promos or share it; it’s just there to keep your account secure.
-
Custom Short Link
Create a short link you can share anywhere (like yourname.sleeve.fm). This is your default artist URL and can sit alongside your own domain if you add one later.
-
Artist Bio
Introduce yourself in your own words. Talk about what you make, where you’re coming from, and what fans can expect if they follow you here. You can revise this anytime.
-
Why Are You Joining Sleeve?
Let us know what you’re trying to do—build a list, release a record, connect with core fans. It helps us improve Sleeve for artists like you.
Step 3: Upload Your Images
Make your page feel like you:
-
Square Image (Full Artist Page Header)
This is the main image that appears at the top of your artist page. It sets the visual tone for your entire site, so choose something that represents you well. A smaller version is used throughout Sleeve — in feeds, previews, and anywhere your artist identity appears.
-
Banner Image
The large visual that defines the top of your about page. Choose something that feels true to your project—it’s the stage your music sits on.
You can update both images at any time.
Step 4: Submit and Go Live
Once everything looks good, hit the button in the top banner to go live.
In most cases, your artist page will be live quickly and ready for:
- Releases
- Posts
- Email list imports
- Link-in-bio and QR sharing
User Account vs. Artist Account: What’s the Difference?
- User Account – Your personal login. This is where you manage your own settings, notifications, and any artist profiles you help run.
- Artist Account – Your public artist presence. This is the page fans see, follow, and support.
Think of it like this:
- You (the person) log in with your user account.
- Your artist account is the site fans visit, with your name, music, posts, and releases.
Every artist on Sleeve has both—but only the artist profile is public.
Welcome aboard.
Once your page is set up, you’re ready to add releases, post updates, and start bringing your fans over.
