Posts, Notes & Release Notes
You’ve got music to make… and fans who want to be close to it. On Sleeve, there are a few different ways to share your world—Posts, Notes, and now, Album Notes. Each one helps you stay connected with your people in different ways.
Posts: Tell the Full Story
Think of Posts like journal entries for your biggest fans. They're for deeper updates—stories, behind-the-scenes looks, unreleased tracks, or even just thoughts about where your head’s at.
- Choose who sees it – You can make posts public or just for specific membership tiers. Your call.
- Make it rich – Add audio, video, photos… whatever helps tell the story.
- Post now or schedule it – Drop something in real-time or plan a post to go live with your next release.
- Start a conversation – Fans can like and comment, and it’s a great way to keep the back-and-forth going.
Notes: Quick Thoughts, Real Connection
Notes are short updates—off-the-cuff, casual, low-pressure. A place to be real with your fans without overthinking it.
- Visible to all your followers – Not just members. Great for staying in touch with everyone.
- No inbox spam – Notes don’t send email alerts, so you can post often without worrying about overdoing it.
- Conversations, not just announcements – Notes are easy to like and comment on, so fans can jump in too.
Right now, Notes are text-only, but we’re working on adding more—images, video, @mentions and more are coming soon.
Album Notes: Share the Love (and the Memories)
We just rolled out Album Notes, which is a new way for fans to connect with specific releases.
Here’s how it works:
- Notes tied to albums – Fans can leave a note about a particular release. Maybe it meant something to them. Maybe they have a question. Maybe they just want to say thanks.
- It doesn’t clutter your album page – Album Notes live on a separate page, so your release still looks clean and polished.
- You’ll see them on your profile too – Album Notes also show up in your Notes tab, so you never miss what fans are saying.
It’s a simple way to let fans respond to your work—and for you to see what it means to them.
Posts are your bigger updates. Notes are your day-to-day. Album Notes are a love letter to the music itself.
Use one or all—whatever feels right for you.
