Import Your Email List
Bring Your Mailing List to Sleeve
Already have a mailing list? Perfect. Sleeve turns it into a proper artist newsletter, directly tied to your page.
Whether your list lives in another email tool, on Bandcamp, in a spreadsheet from tour signups, or on Substack, you can import those contacts to Sleeve and keep everything in one place.
Once imported, fans will:
- Join your free follower tier
- Start receiving your public posts by email
- Be able to visit your artist page any time to catch up
No separate newsletter software required.
What You Can Do
- Paste email addresses manually
- Upload a CSV file
- Add a custom welcome message
Every imported contact is treated as someone who has already opted in to hear from you. They’ll get your free-tier posts automatically once you start publishing.
Step-by-Step
1. Add Your Emails
- Paste emails directly into the import box, or
- Upload a CSV file if you already have one
2. Write a Welcome Message
Let people know what to expect. For example:
“You’re getting this email because you signed up for my mailing list, and I’m now using Sleeve to share updates, new music, and other good stuff directly with my biggest supporters. You’re now following me on the free tier, which means you’ll get my public posts in your inbox. You can unsubscribe anytime, or visit my Sleeve page to see more or support with a paid membership.”
3. Confirm Opt-In
Only import people who have explicitly asked to hear from you. That keeps your list healthy and your emails out of spam folders.
Once you hit upload, your imported fans will be ready to receive your posts.
Best Practices
- Only use lists you’ve grown yourself—no purchased or scraped lists
- Make your welcome message clear and human
- Post something soon after importing so subscribers see immediate value
Bonus: Use With Your Link-in-Bio
Your Sleeve Links includes an email signup form, so once your list is imported, you can keep growing it organically from Instagram, TikTok, your site, and anywhere else you show up.
