Livestreaming on Sleeve
Go Live For Your Fans
You can now go live directly from your Sleeve artist account… no extra gear or setup required. Choose between live camera streaming or uploading pre-recorded videos.
Whether it's a living room set, a first-listen party, a music video premiere, or a Q&A between sessions, livestreaming lets you connect with your community in real time… wherever they are.
It's a simple way to bring your supporters closer and build a deeper connection.
Scheduling Your Livestream
Go to your Artist Settings, click the Livestreams tab, then hit Schedule. Add a title, description, date, and time, and choose who can watch.
Choose your format:
- Live camera - stream directly from your camera and mic
- Pre-recorded video - upload a video file and join the chat while it plays
We'll automatically create a countdown page and share a calendar invite so your members know when to show up.
Planning Your Stream
Start simple. What would feel like a fun, special moment with your supporters?
Here are a few ideas:
Live camera streams:
- First-listen party: debut unreleased music and chat about the process
- Request set: take song requests live
- Behind the scenes: stream from a rehearsal or writing session
- Q&A: let fans ask questions in real time
Pre-recorded video streams:
- Music video premieres with live commentary
- Studio session recordings with real-time reactions
- Performance recordings from recent shows
- Documentary-style content with live Q&A
You can do any or all of these weekly, monthly or however often feels natural to you and your supporters.
Production Tips
For live camera streams:
Going live doesn't have to mean complex gear… but a few basics help:
- A strong internet connection (8 Mbps upload minimum)
- Laptop with built-in camera and mic
- Use an external mic/cam, soundcard if you want to level up
- Wired Ethernet > Wi-Fi for reliability
For pre-recorded video streams:
- Upload high-quality video files (MP4 recommended)
- Test your video beforehand to ensure smooth playback
- Prepare talking points for chat interaction during the stream
If you want to test your connection speed, use Google's speed test.
We're building more production features soon… for now, keep it simple.
Promotion Tips
Treat your stream like a real show. Build anticipation.
- Announce it on socials a few days in advance; you can even make another post and/or email to your Sleeve followers to nudge them
- 7-10 days and 3+ social posts are effective for promo
- Share your Sleeve link in your bio or stories
- Use social polls to find the best time for your fans
- Invite fans directly with a personal note
- For premieres, tease the content without giving everything away
After the stream:
- Post thank yous and clips on social
- Add the recording to your Sleeve page (we'll send you an email when it's done processing)
- Package your favorite moments into a release for members
Make the most of your moment… and turn livestream energy into lasting support.
