Take your catalog somewhere you own.

Moving usually means a weekend of re-uploading artwork, tracklists, and descriptions you already wrote once. The Sleeve Bandcamp Importer is a desktop app that does it for you: your releases, artwork, tracklists, descriptions, lossless masters, barcodes, and your mailing list. It runs on your own computer. Every release arrives in Sleeve as a draft, and nothing on Bandcamp is changed.

Included with every Sleeve account. Signed and notarized by Apple. macOS only.

What comes across

  • Your releases

Each release is recreated in Sleeve with its title, tracklist, artwork, description, and pricing. A release Sleeve already holds is skipped.

  • Your masters, not the stream

The importer downloads the lossless masters Bandcamp holds for you, not the 128k streaming preview.

  • Your barcodes

A UPC or EAN set in your Bandcamp editor is carried over. A barcode that fails validation is omitted and named in the log, so you can fix the digit instead of going looking for it.

  • Your mailing list

Bandcamp subscribers are imported as Sleeve contacts, and the subscriber count is shown before the import runs. No email is sent on arrival. The first thing they hear from you is something you wrote.

How it works

  1. Sign in to Sleeve

Enter your email and the six-digit code sent to it. If your account manages a single artist, that artist is selected automatically.

  2. Sign in to Bandcamp

The app opens Bandcamp’s login in a browser window. Your artist page is identified from the account, so there is no URL to enter.

  3. Select what to import

Releases are listed individually with a checkbox each, along with your mailing list and its subscriber count. Everything is selected by default.

  4. Run the import

Progress is shown for each release. A release that fails is logged and skipped, and the run continues.

Nothing publishes itself

Every imported release is a draft. Review the tracklist, set your pricing, and publish it when you choose. Until then it is not visible on your page.

The importer only reads from Bandcamp. It does not edit, unpublish, or delete anything there. Your Bandcamp page is unchanged, so you can run this and decide afterwards.

What you need

  • A Mac. The download is a universal app, signed and notarized by Apple, and runs on both Apple silicon and Intel.
  • A Sleeve account, and the artist page the releases should import into.
  • The Bandcamp account that administers the page.

Questions

Does the importer change anything on my Bandcamp page?
No. The importer only reads from Bandcamp. It does not edit, unpublish, or delete anything there.
Does Sleeve receive my Bandcamp password?
No. The importer runs on your own computer, not on Sleeve’s servers. It opens Bandcamp’s login in a browser window and you sign in to Bandcamp there, so your Bandcamp password is never entered into Sleeve software. The app reads the session cookie that login produces and nothing else. The cookie is not written to disk and is not sent to Sleeve. Captcha and two-factor authentication work normally, because the login takes place on Bandcamp’s own page.
Why is it a desktop app rather than a web page?
Bandcamp provides no API for catalogs or mailing lists, and lossless downloads require a signed-in session. Running that session on your computer keeps your Bandcamp credentials out of Sleeve.
Does it import lossless audio or the streaming version?
Lossless. The importer downloads the masters Bandcamp holds for you, not the 128k streaming preview.
Does it import my Bandcamp mailing list?
Yes. Bandcamp subscribers are imported as Sleeve contacts, and the subscriber count is shown before the import runs. No email is sent to imported contacts.
Do imported releases publish automatically?
No. Every imported release is a draft. It is not visible on your page until you publish it.
Is there a Windows version?
Not currently. The importer is macOS only.
Does the importer cost anything?
No. It is included with every Sleeve account, including the free plan.
