Add a Custom Domain

Adding a Custom Domain to Your Sleeve Artist Page

Using a custom domain helps you fully own your presence online. Instead of sharing a Sleeve URL like yourname.sleeve.fm, you can use yourname.com — while Sleeve powers everything behind the scenes.

Overview

When you connect a domain:

  • Fans see your URL in the address bar
  • Your Sleeve artist page becomes your main website
  • We automatically handle SSL (HTTPS), routing, and redirects

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Go to your Artist Settings in Sleeve

  2. Find Use Your Own Domain

  3. Enter the domain you want to use (e.g., yourname.com)

  4. Follow the instructions to update DNS at your domain registrar

    (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.)

DNS Records to Add

In your registrar’s DNS panel, create or update the records shown in your Sleeve settings.

  • Each record includes a type, host/name, and value
  • Click the copy icon to copy values directly
  • You can also copy all records at once if someone else manages your DNS

DNS changes often update within minutes, but full global propagation can take 24–48 hours.

What Sleeve Handles Automatically

Once your DNS is configured correctly:

  • We’ll provision SSL (HTTPS) for your domain
  • We’ll route your custom domain to your Sleeve page
  • Your original yourname.sleeve.fm link will keep working and redirect automatically

To maintain security and reliability, we may temporarily disable or remove a domain connection if it’s misconfigured or violates our Terms or applicable law.

Common Questions

How long does it take to go live?

Most updates appear quickly, but full propagation can take up to 24–48 hours.

Click Refresh in your Sleeve settings to check status. We’ll email you once everything is active.

Will my old Sleeve URL still work?

Yes. It will continue to work and redirect to your new domain.

Can I change or remove my custom domain later?

Yes. You can update or remove your domain at any time in your settings — and then update your DNS records accordingly at your registrar.
