Website Metrics and Email Metrics
Two tabs answer two different questions: Website Metrics is who found your site and what they did there, and Email Metrics is how the mail you sent actually performed.
Website Metrics
Six numbers, all for the window you've selected: Pageviews, Unique visitors, Bounce rate, Visit duration, Plays, and Link clicks. Click any one of them and the chart below plots that number over time.
Below the chart, four panels break the same window down by Sources, Pages, Countries, and Devices... where visitors came from, what they read, where they are, and whether they're on a phone or a computer.
- Click a row to filter. Click Instagram in Sources and every number on the page... the six figures, the chart, the other three panels... narrows to just that traffic. Click a row in Pages, Countries, or Devices the same way.
- Filters show as pills next to the date range, and each one has an × to remove it.
- Filters live in the link. The page address updates as you filter, so you can copy it and send it, and reloading the page keeps your filters exactly as you left them.
- Compare puts the previous period's line on the chart and shows both numbers on every tile, so you can tell whether a release or a post actually moved something, not just that a number went up.
- The chart's interval (Days, Weeks, or Months, from the ⋮ menu above it) controls how the timeline is bucketed. Months only shows up once your window is wide enough for it to mean anything.
- On your site now counts distinct visitors in the last five minutes. It isn't part of the window you've selected... it's always live.
Email Metrics
Every release and post you've emailed in the window, with who opened it, what they clicked, and who unsubscribed. Click a row to open the full detail for that send right in the list, without leaving the page.
What counts as a visit, and what counts as a bounce
A visit is one page load. Bounce rate is the share of visits that left in under five seconds... anything that stuck around longer counts as engaged, and Visit duration is the median length of those engaged visits (bounces are left out, or it would read as zero).
Two things are filtered out before you ever see a number:
- Your own visits, and your team's. Anyone who can manage the page... you, a bandmate, a manager... doesn't count, on any tab where visits are tracked.
- Bots. Automated traffic is excluded the same way.
One more thing gets corrected rather than filtered: if a visitor clicks from one of your own pages to another... your EPK to your homepage, say... that internal hop isn't credited as its own source. The visitor is still counted under wherever they actually came from first, as long as that first visit was recent enough to still be the same trip.
What's on Free vs Pro
Free shows Pageviews and Unique visitors, over the last week.
Pro unlocks the rest: Bounce rate, Visit duration, Plays, Link clicks, the chart, filters, Compare, and all four breakdown panels... plus Email Metrics, which is Pro only, entirely.
Find them in your artist dashboard: Website Metrics under Your Site, Email Metrics under Publish.
